Odissi is a classical Indian dance that originated in Odisha, India. Odissi Dance is one of the eight classical dance forms of India. At Konark Dance Festival many celebrated Odissi dancers from all over India perform each year. Konark Dance Festival is a five day classical dance festival held every year in backdrop of the Sun Temple in Konark, Odisha in India. It is one of the biggest classical dance festivals held in India. Since 1989, Konark Festival has been organized by Odisha Tourism and Odissi Research Centre to promote Indian classical dance and popularity of Konark Temple. In this Indian Classical Dance at Konark Festival 2016 - Part 1, Bhubaneswar based Odissi Dance Group "Suravi" led by Guru Pitambar Biswal presents "Surya Upasana" which means Worshiping Sun God.
