"Azure Jade Vessel · The Lantern Fair" takes inspiration from one of his most famous pieces of the same name. The piece of poem depicts a joyful, crowd-filled evening of a festival lined with lanterns throughout the streets, expensive carriages leaving a trail of perfumed fragrance, and adorned ladies of class giggling among themselves. All of these meant naught to the author apparently, as we&quickly shown that he was in fact looking for someone specific in a sea of people, only to find said person in a dimly lit part of the street. While seemingly a romantic poem on the surface, It is said that the poem is a lamentation that actual people of talent are often neglected and left in the dark while the showy and superficial folk run amok in his beloved country. #TaiGekTou
