MacBook Pro 16” A2141 No Power Repairs

In this repair, we had a MacBook Pro 16-inches A2141 that came in as DEAD (No Power) as usual we do not apply power to the board until we confirm it is safe to do so. We took out the back cover of the device, disconnect the battery, and measured for a short to ground, starting with PPBUS_G3H and then PP2V5_NAND_SSD0 this order is because this model commonly fails in this manner, especially through the NAND CIRCUITRY. We registered a short circuit at the PP2V5_NAND_SSD0 power rail, up until this level, we still did not connect power to the device, we then took out the logic board and were able to narrow down the issue to C9586 by the region of U9580, this capacitor was affected by oxidation and had shorted to ground after we removed it, the issue was resolved. We then replaced it and finalized the repair.
