Finally, Max came to Nanning again, a city that made him feel very unforgettable in 2022. This time, he tapped into the livable side of the city. Nanning, a city in southern China near the Vietnam border, is capital of the Guangxi region. Nanning is known as the “Green City,” and the city streets are filled with trees of every kind. There are streets devoted to different varieties of trees such as Cotton Tree Street and Banyan Tree Street. The beautiful scenery of the city is brimming with vitality. With a warm tropical climate, it&known for green spaces such as People&Park, which includes expansive White Dragon Lake, a hilltop fort and a botanical garden. Displays at the Guangxi Museum include hundreds of bronze and copper drums, important artifacts of the region&indigenous people. The name Nanning literally means “Peace in the South” as historically the imperial government used Nanning as a stronghold to aid the integration of the south of China with the north. Nowadays, although the city has undoubtedly grown into a burgeoning metropolis, the lush tropical greenery that has earned Nanning the title of “Green City” still gives this urban city an air of tranquillity. Nanning is the capital city of Guangxi and is, unsurprisingly, also its largest city.
