Testing Hornady's GMX Bullets (.223 and .243)

In this video we test two Hornady GMX rifle bullets, the 70 gr. .223 and the 80 gr. .243. One did nicely and the other, well, it failed. This test departs from our full PAC-T test and focuses on terminal ballistic testing. How well do these bullets perform at the target? To answer that question we look at penetration, expansion, and weight retention as well as its path of travel in the ballistic gelatin and the retained length for each bullet. Links:
