Alesis Nanoverb 2 Testing (synth)

For those interested, the nanoverb 2 is very different from the nanoverb 1. I prefer the 1 (sold the 2 after I made this video). The two seems to be very oddly put together. Sometimes very littler difference between presets and then huge changes. The spring does not sound anything like a spring reverb. I would have been happy with a bad spring (I like variety) but the spring just sounds like all the other reverbs. Very odd. Also note that there are two different nanoverb 2&(based on the faceplate at least) with different effect settings. However I see no distinction from Alesis. It feels very much like a final product put out by marketing to capitalize on their older products. Perhaps the "other faceplate" nanoverb 2 sounds better (or more to the point - has a spring reverb that sounds like a spring). I spend much time trying to see the differences between some of the settings. On the nanoverb 1 all the settings have a distinct character (even if one may find them unrealistic or "bad" sounding). Also of note is that the effects cut off when you change them. The adjustment knob is a stepped encoder and not a continuous fader as on the nanoverb 1. Most importantly the engine are totally different. The nanoverb 1 is very much old-school alesis sound. Can get some very nice 90&reverb from it. The nanoverb 2 seems very bland in comparison.
