This is a Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600 watch review. Hey everybody, and welcome to the Rolex review series, presented by Bob’s Watches. Today we’re taking a closer look at another Rolex that you’re likely all familiar with by now — the new Sea Dweller reference 126600. Effectively the big brother to the Submariner, Rolex made some pretty significant modifications to the Sea-Dweller that they launched at Baselworld last year Bezel One of the few items left unchanged with the new model, the Sea Dweller features a conventional 60-minute elapsed time bezel made of Cerachrom ceramic. As with the balance other models, it has a lumed pip at the zero mark, but otherwise its indices are not luminous. Case To achieve the depth rating of 1,220 meters, Rolex used their innovative Helium Escape Valve to keep the watch water tight at those depths. The Helium Escape Valve is a system of components that fit together in such a way that the water pressure itself helps seal the case. It’s also worth noting that Rolex thinned the inner edge of the Sea Dweller’s lugs in order to fit a wider 22mm bracelet to the new model. Bracelet The bracelet of the Sea-Dweller 126600 ended up getting a bit of an overhaul when compared with past versions. Rolex upped the size of its bracelet to 22mm from 21mm, giving it a slightly more chunky feel.
