"Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two)" is a popular song, written in 1892 by British songwriter Harry Dacre, with the well-known chorus, "Daisy, Daisy Give me your answer, do. I&half crazy all for the love of you". This is the first recording of this song from 1894 The song is said to have been inspired by Daisy Greville, Countess of Warwick, one of the many mistresses of King Edward VII. She was a campaigning socialist who set up schools for girls and stood as a Labour Party MP It is the earliest song sung using computer speech synthesis by the IBM 7094 in 1961, a feat which was referenced in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) The tune to the song Daisy Bell also features in season 3 of the Stranger Things TV show.
