A very rare Gibson SG model with a longer Fender 25.5 inch (648 cm) scale, only produced in 1998 (successor to the SG 90 from 1988-89). Guitar entirely with original hardware, except for the pickup at the bridge replaced with the Gibson 498T, which sounds phenomenal anyway. Gibson produced the SG-Z was a unique take on the classic SG design in 1998. This guitar not only featured an atypical humbucker/single-coil pickup combo, but also a Z-shaped tailpiece, pearloid pickguard, and triangular inlays.
