How to get ULMB 2 working on AMD GPU? (PG27AQN, XB273U, ...)

This video shows how to get ULMB 2 working on AMD GPU with the help of Custom Resolution Utility (CRU). The main issue is that AMD drivers don&let you completely disable FreeSync, but we can easily bypass that. The only issue right now is how to update the monitor, I have no way of testing this since I&already updated mine before moving to team red. My guess is that the updater won&let you proceed and you will have to ask a friend with NVIDIA GPU to update it for you.
