Ford Escape Timing Belt and Water Pump Replacement - Part 1

This is the start of the first video of a series on changing a timing belt and water pump on a 2001 Ford Escape with the 2.0L engine. Other procedures will be shown which are not related to a timing belt change, but was performed since I had it opened up. This will be the most detailed timing belt procedure shown on YouTube which includes commentary. The procedures shown in this video are outlined below. Enjoy the video and thanks for watching! 1. Disconnect DC- battery cable 2. Disconnect MAF connector (Not needed) 3. Disconnect PCV breather hose from air intake hose 4. Disconnect air intake hose 5. Disconnect throttle linkage 6. Disconnect cruise control linkage 7. Disconnect both O2 sensor connectors 8. Remove wiring harness from two studs on valve cover 9. Remove fuel injection harness from stud on valve cover 10. Remove spark plug wires 11. Remove valve cover bolts and studs 12. Drain coolant
