Michael Solovyev. Starbucks in Waterloo. From the photo made by Nathaniel Kim from Waterloo, Ontario. @DANIELSMITHArtistColor watercolor paints on Saunders Waterford 300 gsm Rough paper, 15x15 inches, @EscodaBarcelona. Today, we are going to Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Nathaniel shared with me a beautiful story behind this photo: "Early winter evening, Starbucks: I&always been attracted to melancholy lighting, and winters in southern Ontario have provided some of my favourite displays. This photo came from early evening just as winter was giving one last hurrah in Waterloo, Ontario in Canada. I was sitting with friends in their apartment and the notes of sadness as the sun leaves it place were mixed with the promise of a spring soon to come - a very melancholy mood indeed, and a sentimental poetry to clothe the very geometric buildings in view."
