Mercury 40 HP 4 Stroke Oil Change

Today I took on the task of changing the crank case aka engine oil on this 2006 Mercury 4 stroke outboard. At the Merc parts counter virtually all of the 40 hp Mercs called for the same oil filter but I’d highly recommend taking your serial number with you when you purchase. This outboard called for 3.2 qts 25w-40 oil for a warm weather climate. After draining and removing oil filter I filled with 3 qts and it read halfway between empty and full. This was an extremely simple job that took less than an hour including the filming of it. If you have any other tips or suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments.
