D23 2019 - The Falcon and The Winter Solider – Itw Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie

Anaheim, Convention Center, August 23, 2019 Following the events of Marvel Studios’ Avenger: Endgame, Falcon and the Winter Soldier (played by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, respectively) team up. During today’s presentation, Kevin Feige revealed that Emily VanCamp will reprise her role as Sharon Carter, and introduced Wyatt Russell, who will portray John Walker—a Marvel Comics character—for the first time on screen. The series is directed by Kari Skogland and Malcom Spellmen serves as head writer. At the end of October 2018, Malcolm Spellman was hired to write a limited series that would focus on Anthony Mackie&Sam Wilson / Falcon and Sebastian Stan&Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. Mackie and Stan had both previously expressed interest in starring in an MCU spin-off film together, with Stan comparing the potential idea to buddy comedy films like Midnight Run (1988) and 48 Hrs. (1982). The series was officially announced and titled in April 2019, with Mackie and Stan confirmed to be starring. It is expected to start filming in October 2019, debuting within the first year of the streaming service. In May 2019, it was announced to consist of six episodes directed by Kari Skogland, with Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl set to reprise their roles as Sharen Carter / Agent 13 and Baron Helmut Zemo.
