How to replace the soft roller brush bars on your Dyson V11™ cordless vacuum. Your machine may differ from the example shown but the process demonstrated remains the same. The soft roller brush bars have been engineered and tested to last the lifetime of your machine in normal domestic use. However if you ever need to replace the brush bars - for example, due to accidental damage - this is quick and easy to do, simply follow the steps in our video guide. Step 1. Remove the cleaner head from the wand by pressing the red release button on the cuff. Step 2. Place the cleaner head upside down. Step 3. Using a coin, undo the end cap fastener by rotating anti-clockwise. Step 4. Lift the end cap up and remove from the end of the large brush bar. Step 5. Remove both the large and small rear brush bar from the cleaner head. Step 6. Dispose of the old brush bars as per local codes and regulations. Step 7. Slide the new brush bars into the cleaner head. Step 8. Take care to align the end cap correctly, position it at a 45° angle - otherwise it cannot be pushed down into place. Step 9. Using the coin, lock the end cap fastener by rotating clockwise.
