A frequent question on the various metal forums I regularly visit is &do people use to cut their metal?' I&used one in the past and found they worked very well at their job, but I much prefer an electric cutter. I&used a couple of electric cutters before the JS3200, notably by Bosch. These were rated at 1.6mm mild, they worked well but I needed an upgrade and found the perfect match in the Makita JS3200. I&also used nibblers but they left crescent shaped &everywhere or cuts a 2mm line through the material. The JS3200 is hardy, well made and does exactly what is written on the tin, plus a little more - occasionally. I tend to find if you tax a tool beyond its recommended use too many times, just standby to replace it quicker than you&perhaps like. Pricey, but worth every penny and unlike the Beverly shear, doesn&need a dedicated space on the bench.
