My Focal SUB 1000F subwoofer Focal SUB 1000F setting : LFE mode, Vol. 50%. vs : JTR Captivator 4000ULF, REL Acoustics 212/SX subwoofer, Yamaha NS-2000 speakers Part 1 : vs JTR Captivator 4000ULF Part 2 : vs REL Acoustics 212/SX Part 3 : vs Yamaha NS-2000 speakers I am exploring to upgrade the Focal SUB 1000F/bass based on the following spec. : 10-12" driver, with a dome in the centre, sealed, front firing, 800-1000 watts, minimum air volume 100 million mm³. Mission 704 floor standing speakers, cabinet size : 1050 x 255 x 420mm = 112 mil. mm³ Focal Sub 1000F cabine size : 400 x 400 x 400mm = 64 mil. mm³ Why 100 mil. mm³ ? Because my Mission 704 floor stand speakers has air volume 112 mil. mm³ and I accepted the bass it produced : Mission 704 bass sounds : === This could be my last subwoofer for bookshelf speakers integration. (always remember : less bass gain clarity, more bass more muddy) 1. M&K Sound X10+ or X12+ subwoofer 2. REL Carbon Special (430 x 455 x 539 mm, 105 mil mm³) 3. Sonus Faber Gravis V (455 mm x 449 x 449 mm including feet, 91.7 mil. mm³) An active subwoofer that delivers powerful and precise bass. 4. XTZ Cinema SUB 1×12 Edge (510 x 465 x 465 mm 110 mil. mm³) == Subwoofer Test Focal vs Monitor Audio (Monitor Audio sounds muddy) (Subwoofer driver with a dome at the centre vs concave/flat design. With dome seems sounds better - I MIGHT BE WRONG.) Focal, Yamaha, SVS, JTR subwoofer driver are with a dome in the centre. Kharma Enigma Veryron 4D floor...
