Sunset || Ponk’s theme || Original song based on Dream SMP

Hello friends!!! Hope you’re well!! This is a song that I wrote for DropsByPonk based on their character in the Minecraft rp server Dream SMP, and it&about Ponk comparing their feelings towards Awesamdude and Foolish Gamers (aka homewreckertwt my beloved) as they move on from a failed relationship with Sam. I feel like the homewreckers’ whole character arc just doesn’t get enough love (double meaning not intended LMAO) from the mcyt music community, and I figured it would be as good a time as any to write a song for them myself. Honestly their dynamic is just so good, the only issue I think a lot of us have is that we’re all in denial that love is dead hksjflds, hence why I interpreted Ponk’s feelings for Sam slightly differently from canon in this song :’) Also, I added a TON of references in the lyrics, and I&love to hear your interpretations on what they mean! I didn&get the chance to respond during the premiere, but someone in the premiere chat correctly pointed out that the "desert skies" line was a reference to Creamay&song about Foolish, you can check that out here :D In any case, I worked super hard on this - I think I spent the most time and effort on the production quality of this song compared to anything else I’ve released so far, so I really do hope you enjoy it!
