Final Fantasy 9 - Ozma

Anyway, here is Ozma. FF9&strongest boss and pretty much one of the hardest bosses of this franchise, but not impossible. What makes Ozma hard is that he is pretty unpredictable and abuses the battle mechanic for his behalf. He might start the fight with Doomsday, which is good because once you did the Friendly Fairy sidequest, it will also hurt himself. Also, Doomsday is a Shadow elemental spell and can be nullified with the appropriate equipment. Lastly, Return Magic (Learnt by Amarant and Vivi) can counterattack with another Doomsday, knocking down Ozma’s health further. The worst is that he starts with Meteor, being able to know down your entire party. For me, it happened, by Eiko’s Phoenix saved my butt. Ozma counterattacks with Berserk and (if his HP is low) Curaga. Curse is bad news. And Flare Star’s damage depends on the level of your character, so a Level 1 party could also survive it with ease. As said, Ozma has a unique battle script and literally breaks the rules. When Ozma’s ATB bar is filling up and you chose him as an attack target (or any command that targets him), his ATB is instantly filled up and he acts before the character that declared an attack at him.
