This week I am engaged in the restoration of an old Suzuki Escudo 1995 alternator from the RF engine. This alternator stopped working and was thrown out. At the first inspection of the alternator, I found out that it had already been sorted out before me and was found to be non-repairable. But after examining the alternator carefully, it was decided to restore it. New ones were bought for this purpose: - Bearings - Rectifier - Voltage regulator with brushes - Oil seals - Lost fasteners - Brush collector First, the alternator was completely assembled. The housing of the alternator went to the sink and the sandblasting chamber for cleaning from corrosion. The electrical components have been checked. The rotor and stator were washed, dried, cleaned with metal brushes. Then they are painted with a special paint. The rectifier and voltage regulator were completely worn out, so it was necessary to replace them with new ones. However, it was not without improvements. Since the car is old, it was not so easy to get spare parts for it. But really. The collector was completely worn out, so I had to replace it with a new one. It turned out to be not exactly the same, but it fell into place as the original. A similar fate befell the rear bearing - replacement with a new one. But the front bearing turned out to be in excellent condition, so it was decided not to touch it. After replacing all the broken parts, the alternator was assembled.
