Honda introduced the Rebel 1100 two years ago, a bigger-displacement cruiser modeled after the successful Rebel 300 and 500. Two features turn the standard Rebel 1100 DCT into the 2023 Honda Rebel 1100T DCT. The T gets a minimalist fork-mounted batwing-style fairing and a pair of compact side bags. Those features add $1200 and 33 pounds, even with that the 1100T’s MSRP is a bagger bargain. The Rebel 1100T has a 1084cc parallel twin engine. The parallel-twin design is narrow and delivers torque everywhere from idle to redline. Proven in Africa Twin have plenty of power grunt down low, but the Rebel 1100T cruises easy and revs like nothing else in the class. With 86 hp and 72 lb-ft of torque, the 270-degree crankshaft features uneven firing intervals that produce powerful engine pulses. Like many other models in 2023 Honda lineup, the Rebel 1100T has the brilliant 6-speed DCT automatic transmission. Using the same steel trellis frame, the new Rebel 1100T is also dimensionally unchanged, seat height as the base Rebel 1100. likely would’ve raised the price point, 1100T’s tank stays 3.6 gallons, just like its standard 1100 siblings. We’re also happy to see that much of the tech on the 1100T, three selectable power modes and four levels of traction control, ABS, cruise control, and six-speed DCT all making the jump to the new model.
