In our high-end room in Frölunda, we have had Perlisten&floor-standing speaker model S7t paired with Krell electronics for a while. It has sounded magical, and the sound has truly embraced the listener. It&easy to understand why Perlisten is one of the most acclaimed speaker brands we have. The products driving these speakers are, as mentioned, from the American brand Krell. We have used their preamplifier in the form of the Illusion II. This is accompanied by their powerhouse amplifier, the Chorus 7200 XD, which delivers 200 watts of output in iBias Class A – a true beast we&talking about. Power and quality have been abundant. Streaming to the preamplifier has been done through the Arcam ST60, which has done so admirably. Now, in recent days, we have tried driving the system with a significantly cheaper streamer/preamplifier, namely the one that&on everyone&lips now, the EverSolo DMP-A6 Master Edition. Does it manage to deliver anywhere near what Krell did? What is our impression of the player?
