Developed by Pablo Vidaurre Sanz of "Rusty Planet Games", Tokyo Warfare is a tank combat game and spiritual successor to Namco&mid 90s classic, "Tokyo Wars", with lots of graphics configurations, 1st & 3rd person perspective, six factions with over 20 playable tanks, lots of different skins for your tanks, more than a half dozen maps, more realistic controls, and single or online play (Online multiplayer 2-8 / Online co-op 2-6). Primary development has since ceased for the game, but a considerable effort was made to keep the game updated after it initially went on sale. The game had almost no tanks or maps and was pretty bare-bones... it could get away with this to an extent when you consider the sheer simplicity of Tokyo Wars, so the great deal of post-game content showed a lot of goodwill on the part of the dev. It reminds me of a Simple Series game. The game still has its share of issues (psychic A.I. who tend to get stuck in awkward situations and are sitting ducks or impervious due to a bug, achievements and tanks don&unlock as they should, buggy interface, object collision issues, etc.) and certain features were removed, but they can be worked around for the most part and aren&frequent or game-breaking. At its core is a fun arcade-style shooter where each side can have up to three factions and can bring about two dozen different units at once on a stage... as such, the game might lag on lower-end PCs. Players start out with almost everything locked, but can unlock...
