Unboxing a Raytheon RX-233A argon filled thyratron. The valve is probably new & in its original box. (NOS New Old Stock NIB New In box). The valve base is a black international octal A08 K8A. The IO base has &ONLY TO THE EXTENT INDICATED ON CARTON&on the bottom. The valve has a top connection cap. The glass envelope has Raytheon printed on it & inside a &sign&it has RX-233A. Printed around the base is Raytheon, MADE IN U.S.A, IE2 (or 1E2) & SC 122 A. Stamped on the box is 217-WF-42, 517B & W E (also CD or GD). Printed on one end of the box is Raytheon RX - 233A & SC 8727 A. The type RX233A was first introduced in 1943. This valve is part of my collection & is not for sale.
