Narcissus Golden Delicious is a double daffodil variety (group 4 of the daffodil classification), about 35 cm tall. It was developed by Karel J. Van der Veek in the Netherlands and registered in 2019. Blooms in early-mid spring with 2 - 3 flowers per stem, about 5 cm across, with perianth tepals and petaloids arranged in two whorls and corona and corona segments arranged in several whorls. All tepals, corona and petaloid segments are very intense yellow giving this daffodil a very bright colour, ideal if you like strong warm colours in your garden. This daffodil is supposed to be very scented, but in my opinion it is just lightly fragrant, even if the fragrance is very pleasant, as described in the video. Narcissus Golden Delicious is hardy between USDA 3 and 8. As usual for daffodils, it loves full sun (but can grow also in partial shade), and the bulbs need to be planted in well drained soil, about 10-15 cm deep. The plant will start sprouting the laves in late autumn-early winter, blooming in early spring, and then go dormant in late spring-early summer.
