John Powell - Test Drive (Music from How to Train Your Dragon) [MIDI RECREATION]

Dragons. We love them. My kids love them, especially after this Halloween, where our streets were filled with inflatable version of them. But that¬ really why I did this mockup... A couple of weeks back, I started a new piece and was attempting to merge VSL instances into a new template, only to lose my current template entirely. So I was more or less forced to rebuild my template again. But what track to use as a reference this time? I consider the scores from the movies some of the finest in the genre, and the work of @johnpowellmusic his very best. But beyond that, the overall mix of the score is so crystal clear that I wanted to really knuckle down and try and emulate that instrumental clarity this time. No pile of plugins; no brick wall limiter on the master bus for loudness. Just proper bloody balance. I love this track. I get get goosebumps from it every time in the final phrase. And I am very happy with this mix. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed...
