YPPD-J016e IPM repair 50HP86 ticking noise and flashing TV

This Toshiba 50HP86 Plasma TV flashes and a ticking noise comes from the Y-sus board. Its power module on the Y-sustain is faulty. Instead of buying a new one we replace the faulty IGBT inside the power module YPPD-J016E. Applicable to other IPMs too. Since these are old plasma TVs the goal is to spend the least amount of money for each repair because you never know if that all there is or if there is more stuff to repair.
