BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! but it&played on an actual autotuned papaya hit with a spoon. Yes the papaya was not the most fresh, yes the papaya was falling apart at the end, yes it was kind of gross. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those interested in how the actual sounds were produced: Papayas themselves aren&really capable of producing a recognizable or usable pitch. If you hear the "normal smack" sound in the introduction, that&what a papaya sounds like most of the time when you hit it. However, there&a slightly harder part of the papaya where the stem is connected, and if you hit that part with a spoon, sometimes you can get the spoon to resonate. My spoon just happens to have a natural frequency of a "C" pitch which was convenient. After that, it&all sound editing and layers -- adding reverb, EQ to isolate the pitch from the "thock" sound, autotune for minute adjustments, distortion for effects, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow me on Instagram and Twitter:
