Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing - cover of Chris Isaak by Mark Nesmith on a Gretsch G5623 Bono Red

Had a little time to kill after school before the pep rally so I ducked into a practice room and recorded this tune from Chris Isaak. It was featured on the soundtrack to Eyes Wide Shut with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman by Stanley Kubrick. Whatever you think of the storyline, Kubrick’s directing is beautifully elegant and the film is visually stunning. I particularly love the contrast in interior and exterior lighting. Not to mention there’re some pretty steamy scenes with the lovely Ms. Kidman. This is a great tune. A simple boogie in E vamped up with Isaak’s melody and bridge section. I recorded this on my beloved Gretsch Red through a little Line 6 practice amp.
