Day Wave - Ceremony (New Order cover) - San Francisco, Live, 9-22-15, The Independent. 2nd night of two sold-out shows. Other Tidbits: Blonde Redhead and Day Wave were originally scheduled to play one night, but due to high demand they added a 2nd show. I didn’t get to talk to Jackson after the show like the last time at the Noise Pop event at the Phoenix Hotel, but fortunately the band will be back in SF next month with Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes. Phillips grew up in Marin, but now lives in the Easy Bay in Oakland. After the show, I got the setlist, which was nice. It was written on a paper towel and many of the song titles were abbreviated. For example, ‘Nothing at All’, ‘Total Zombie’ and ‘Come Home Now’ appeared as ‘Nothing’, ‘Total’ and ‘Come Home’. Their new EP &was self-released in July. On Facebook, Jackson said that the album is coming out next year, but there will be 7” vinyls available in November. I guess we’ll have to wait until then to get them autographed! Setlist: 1. Nothing at All 2. Total Zombie 3. Come Home Now (New Song) 4. You Are Who You Are (New Song) 5. Ceremony (New Order cover) 6. Drag 7. Wasting Time (New Song) 8. Promises (New Song) 9. Headcase 10. We Try but We Don’t Fit In Lineup: Blonde Redhead Day Wave
