Kimber Solo 9mm dissection

Kimber discontinued the 9mmm Solo pistol a few years ago after many complaints and poor reviews. I recently obtained an affordable used one to conduct my own review. My experience was fairly similar to the pistols shown in some other folks videos. Indeed the malfunction looks almost identical in some cases. In this video I use two different types of performance 124 gr. JHP ammunition of the sort the pistol manual stipulates, three brands of white box 124 gr. FMJ ammunition and one type of white box 115 gr. ammo. Everything 124 gr. worked perfectly in the 6 round magazines. However with the 8 round magazine with all of the ammo types I could not get round number 2 to chamber. As expected the 115 gr. FMJ load does not work reliably at all. Examination of the not chambered rounds highlighted a possible cause of the malfunctions and I discuss a possible remedy. If you like this video and my work, please like and subscribe.
