Following the instructions to do a hard factory reset, this Acer A500 stays stuck on the Acer logo. To do a hard factory reset: 1) Press volume up button and hold it. 2) Press and hold the power button. 3) When the tablet vibrates, release the power button (but still holding volume up button). 4) Switch the lock on/off switch until "Erasing Userdata", followed by "Erasing Cache". After step 4), you can see this tablet get&stuck at the Acer Logo screen. The tablet stays like that for as long as it&on. Before this happened, I had been using it and shut it off. When I turned it on, it just got stuck at the Acer Logo. The tablet is less than a year old, so it is still under warranty. It will be sent to have it warrantied. I also tried using the "Reset" button, but it did not help. I did not try re-installing the stock firmware using the SD card method. I was not sure if this would affect my warranty. This might be a possible solution for people out of warranty. Because I can&restore the tablet through the hard reset. It does make me think that chances are it&more of a hardware problem. UPDATE: After sending the acer back to warranty, they replaced the motherboard. From the date of them receiving the tablet, it took 10 days for them to ship back. But the whole process took over 2 weeks. **UPDATE 2: For more information about factory resetting (as well as from SD card) Update.zip files can be found here: *** UPDATE 3 3/2/13 ***** Here is one more place that you can...
