KEEN NXIS EVO Hiking Boot Review after 2+ months use in the Great Outdoors I have been testing out the NXIS Evo by Keen for just over 2 months now. I have used them in a variety of conditions in the UK hills and mountains, including snow and ice, mud and also on drier terrain. I have used them for wild camping, hiking and scrambling. I find these boots to fit somewhere between a trail running shoe and full on hiking boot - these are much lighter and comfier than my other leather and much heavier hiking boots. I can confirm the KEEN dry waterproof membrane works, having crossed numerous streams and bogs wearing them. The heel lock system prevents slipping and therefore reduces the risk of blisters. The toes are protected by a generous rubber rand. 4mm multidirectional lugs on the sole afford grip in a variety of conditions.
