This is my short video of the restoration I finished on a Peg Perego 12v Gaucho Rock’in for my son. I removed all the old electronics, keeping the motors and throttle pedal, and replaced it with a remote-control speed controller kit from China. I wired the original motors and throttle pedal to the new speed control to try and keep it as standard as possible. Custom made MDF dash panels were added to house all the new switches in one tidy place. A 12v battery charger with integrated to make it more plug and play without the need to touch the battery. Spraying the outer shell with Gravitex helped to cover up the years of sun damage the plastic had and also gave it a more off roader look! The number plates were made using my partners Cricut machine. 0:00 Start 2:27 Remote Driving 3:06 Slideshow 3:37 Completed Resto Dashboard: Original with custom MDF inserts to house new switches Steering Wheel: Original Seats: Original Seat Belts: Original Bonnet stays: Small Aftermarket Front grill: Custom MDF Headlights: Aftermarket LED round Lights Wheels: Original Undercoat: Gravitex grey Paint: Military Green / Satin Black Rear Lights: Deleted Motors: Original Original Gear Shifter: Removed Throttle Pedal: Original Speed Controller: Remote control kit including gear shifter and steering motor.
