How to Mount Bike Lock Holder - Install and Attach Combination Cable Lock to Prevent Bike Theft No matter what kind of bike you have, it&essential to keep a bike lock with you! And in this video I&show you how to attach a cable lock to your bike so it&be handy wherever you go! The combination lock I&using comes with a collar that attaches to the bike frame. To start, there are two screws that need to be removed first. I just bought a Trek Marlin and I wanted to get my lock attached right away and before I take it riding. The part that came with your lock might look slightly than mine different but the process to attach it should be about the same is what I&doing here. Ok so once the screws and nuts are removed this is about ready. At this point, take out the rubber pads inside. Normally, I&probably mount this on the top or bottom bar but on this bike, the tubes are rectangular in shape on my Trek so it won&work there. Instead, I&attach it to the seat post because it&the only round tube big enough. Now I&need either one or two of the rubber pads. This works as a spacer for the collar to grab onto. But I did a test fit earlier and it looks like I just need to use one of them. With the mounting collar stretch it open to fit around the tube. When it&on make sure the rubber pad is lined up inside. And this is a good time to decide which way it&go. Here I&going to insert the nut first because it has an opening that will lock it in place. And of course put the screw in to hold...
