Amsonia 'Storm Cloud' (Bluestar) // Terrific, Multi-Season Native Perennial

Bluestar or Amsonia &Cloud&is a terrific, multi-season, NATIVE perennial that produces distinctive, vase shaped growth of dark colored (almost black) stems and dark green leaves with silver veins in spring. At the tips of the stems, dark blue buds emerge to open as lots of light periwinkle blue, star-shaped flowers, these last well and with continued re-bloom maintain the flowering for many weeks. During the fall, the whole plant ignites into a mound of bright golden yellow foliage that adds considerably to it&unusual appeal and overall garden merit.
