In this alternate universe when Hercules fell in love with Meg and decided to give up his place amongst the Gods to live as a mortal with her, the pair got married and were both very hopeful about their future. They explored the world and experienced new things together, but it didn’t take long before Hercules began to show the negative signs that Meg’s mother had warned her about before she married him. A God will always be a God. Although Hercules had initial turned mortal as an ultimate act of love for Meg, he craved the love and worship that Greek Gods were graced with. Over the years his desire to feel God-like grew whilst his love for Meg diminished. He sought out compliments and admiration from other women who adored him and he chased fights with monstrous creatures so that people would worship him like a God. Hercules lost sight of what he stayed mortal for…but Meg stayed and supported him. After travelling far and wide to prove himself, Hercules eventually meets his end in Germany. Meg had to bury her husband and although he was an unfaithful man who was practically a stranger to her in the end, she grieved his death immensely.
