Midnight Matinee - Len Stevens - Danish State Radio Orchestra/Robert Farnon - Chappell C.443

&Matinee&is an exuberant piece of mood music from 1954 composed by Herbert Leonard (Len) Stevens and is typical of the work he turned out for numerous English publishers. This one was for Chappell & Co. and was recorded in Copenhagen during the British musicians&strike by the Danish State Radio Orchestra conducted by Robert Farnon. Incidentally, Len Stevens died in 1989 but no-one seems to know when he was born, and I have searched extensively on the Internet, He was indeed a &boy&in many respects - I can&find a photograph of him either.
