DeWalt DCST 972 X1 or DCST 972B is an extremely powerful grass cutter / trimmer. It features the maximum grass cutting swath of up to 15 inches = 38 cm. You can buy an optional piece to extend the maximum cut swath to 17 inches (and yes it has enough power to perform at 17 inches cutting swath). DeWalt DCST972 or the previous model DCST 970 are very capable machines, and can handle the overgrown field like a piece of cake. I finished the from and the back of the house, which is 50 square meters in total, within 10-15 minutes. Recording a video slowed the usual time to around 30 minutes, as I had to move the camera, and so on. On a single FlexVolt 60V 9Ah battery, you can just about complete cutting 50 square meters of very overgrown vegetation. However if you cut your grass more frequently, and just need trimming, you can even cover 100-120 square meters on one fully charged battery. I&been using this grass cutter for 3 years now, and I haven&had any issues whatsoever. It simply works, always ready to go. Unlock gasoline tools, often clog the carburetor up if not used for extended period of time, and you need to send them to the service center over and over again. I guess if I was cutting the grass commercially, I would use the gasoline cutter, but for the single household it is just perfect.
