A "Re-install missing or unresponsive imaging unit 31.60C" error message appears on the printer display. 1-Perform a power-on-reset (POR) by powering the printer off and power it back on. For more information, refer to Power the Printer Off and On. 2-Open the printer front door and remove the supplies. 3-Remove the toner cartridge from the imaging unit to separate the two supplies. 4-Inspect the toner or imaging unit for any debris, packing material, or damage. 5-Insert the toner cartridge back to the imaging unit, install back the supplies to the printer and close the front door. 6-Replace the Toner Cartridge. Note: Make Sure a Genuine Xerox Toner (Dry Ink) Cartridge is Being Used. Off brand or white label products can adversely affect the operation of the device and are not supported. 7-If the error persists, replace the Imaging Unit.
