Determine average size of nanoparticles in SEM, TEM image using Image J software

This video describes how to determine size nanoparticles using ImageJ software. This strategy can apply for calculating size of nanoparticle in the composites that you obtain from TEM, SEM images. The steps to calculate nanoparticle distribution in TEM and SEM images are given the following: open image with Image J. 1. Set up the scale &line along your scale and in menu Analyze and then choose set scale. put you scale size. 2. Back to image, use line tool to along the particle diameter. press the M button. 3. repeat it in the second with all particles and as result, you get a table with all sizes. 4.
