The code "cag" means that the binocular was produced by Swarovski, Tirol. The yellow color was used since 1943 under the term "Einheitstarnfarbe Europa" (unit camouflage color Europe) for binoculars and various other equipment. It was in fact not regarded as a desert camouflage color as the units of the german Afrikakorps (desert troops) were equipped with black colored binoculars. The blue Δ-symbol means, that the binocular works under extreme climatic conditions from -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to 122°F).
