Koh Chang - Paradise Island in Thailand

Several years ago, when I came to a travel agency, I asked to find some exotic travel for me. I always dreamed of visiting somewhere far away in the ocean and the choice was made - this is the island of Koh Chang in Thailand. This, of course, is not a wild or uninhabited land, all modern civilization is present there, but it has its own small-town flavor, and besides, there are much fewer tourists there than, for example, in Pattaya. The island is located in the Gulf of Thailand. Transport links with the mainland are maintained through a scheduled ferry service. From Trat the sail is only about 40 minutes. Koh Chang has almost everything you need for permanent living and tourism: various hotels, chain stores, boutiques, real estate agencies, banks, restaurants and bars, and of course, excursions. Where would we be without them? 😊 There is only one road around the island, but for some reason it is not closed. The length one way is about 50 km. I lived at the hotel, in a modern hut right on the shore, so I often enjoyed sunsets on the beach near the house. I traveled around Ko Chang on a bike that I rented. I would like to warn you right away that without driving experience it is better to choose a different method of travel, since the road consists of many serpentines, descents and ascents, and besides, the locals drive very recklessly.
