Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa located in a little island near Male and the Velana International airport. It&a short speed boat ride from the airport to the resort. In September the temperature is still in the upper 80° F and the water is warm. The beach is not crowded and quiet. The island is small enough that you can walk around the whole island every day. The food is great with a variety of choices from beef, pork, chicken, fish and baked goods. Reserve the room with half-board (breakfast and dinner) and you won&go hungry. The beach front room with easy access to the beach is the best. The overwater bungalow is romantic, but with high tide you can&really go down the water to swim. We went on a snorkeling excursion and we loved it. Once you looked down and see the beautiful fishes and the tranquility of the sea you just can&stop.
