Originally written for, and recorded by Aretha Franklin, she decided to leave it off her album and instead, gave it to Dusty Springfield, for her album "Dusty in Memphis". The song went on be a huge hit for Dusty in 1968 and has been a staple at Gutter Rose shows for over a decade.
