Yamaha Bolt test ride

This time I test ride the new 2016 Yamaha Bolt, I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed riding the Bolt. I was expecting it to be more or less a copy of the Harley Davidson 48 (Forty Eight) experience, minus 250cc, but the Bolt experience is better IMO. Powered by a 950cc air-cooled 60-degree V-twin producing roughly 52 bhp compared to 60 bhp on the HD 48, both have a top speed at about 110 mph/180kph. But the 48 will probably get to the top speed faster. The Bolt is 15 kg lighter and have a 12 liter/3.2 gal gas tank, thats 4.1 liter more than the Harley 48! So much better range on the Bolt. It comes with ABS brakes. The seating position is comfortable and allows you to lift up on the pegs, you can go off-road with it, just kidding, but it´s nice when hitting particularly nasty stretches. The stock exhaust sounds pretty lame, but can be fixed with aftermarket pipes or slip-ons. And finally…the price. You can buy 2 Bolt for the price of 1 Harley 48. The difference in price is crazy!
