♪♫♪ ♪♫♫♪ A few random things I would like to mention: - She studied with Sevick - It was Fritz Kreisler that once said "no one plays Kreisler like Morini" ♪♫♪ ♪♫♫♪ Spohr was the arch-rival, anthesis, and nemesis (and any other word you can think of ending with &of Paganini, I suspect this was because he was jealous of the talents the greatest fiddler and arguably most influential and revolutionary creator of music the world has ever known (as evidence of this consider what music was like before and after him and how many of the greatest masters wrote variations on his themes and imitated the techniques he invented). The most important event related to the resurrection of Spohr&music was the recording Hilary Hahn made of his 8th concerto paired with Paganini&shredfest. I can not begin to express my gratitide to have a leading soloist playing the music of a neglected 19th century master. I have recenly noticed the 6 cd box of the complete concertos of Spohr has gone out of print. ...ummm could I be persuaded to upload all of them? It is my hope that a whole generation of new violinists will follow her example by recording, performing, and preserving neglected music of the romantic masters. I dream of a series of box set recordings, live performances, and DVDs of the music of Beroit, Rode, Sauret, etc - recorded by Ehnes, Kaler, Kavakos, Mintz, Repin, etc and also recitals filled with this kind of music.
