Deep brain stimulation offers relief to Parkinson's patient

Dr. Adam Sachs, a neurosurgeon at The Ottawa Hospital is the first doctor in Ottawa to perform deep brain stimulation to help control the tremors of Parkinson&Disease. One of his first patients, Dr. Jacques Theriault, 70, was diagnosed with the disease eight years ago and shook uncontrollably until his surgery last fall. Today, he doesn&have any visible tremors.
