In this video I am unboxing and testing a Makita DLM330Z LXT 18V lawn mower on battery. This lawn mower uses power from one 18V battery. In this case the battery and charger are not included, which is fine for me because I already have two batteries and a charger. My old batteries are from 5Ah and 4Ah capacity. Why did I mention the capacity of my batteries ? I have to mow around 270 square meter lawn. So the major question is, can this mower do the job ? With one fully charged battery from 5Ah I finished 190 square meters. The rest of the job I finished with half of the 4Ah battery. Basically, I need two batteries to finish the 270 square meters area and Yes my batteries are old and I don&know the exact condition of them , but in my opinion these are in really good shape. During testing I tried to mow different sizes of grass. When I mowed regular sized grass I didn&feel any tension from a mower, but on a little taller it wasn&case. I finished my job also in a tall grass but I felt that my mower was struggling and my impression is if I continue mowing taller grass my mower will soon be in the garbage. My lawn is tidy . I left it in this condition just for testing. Is it worth buying ? If you have small sizes of lawn and you mow it on a regular basis, don&let the grass be taller than it should be, you have nice soft grass ( not a wild grass) Makita DLM300 can finish the job.
