How to route the metronome in Reaper for monitoring and playback options. This video explains how to route the metronome (click) in Reaper to the various outputs of your audio interface. The default setup in Reaper sends the click to the stereo outs of your interface. When you record by yourself, this can be fine... usually, as you can turn it on/off as you need it. On the other hand, when you work with multiple musicians, all recording at once, such as you would with a full band, not everyone is going to want the click. And likely, those that do want it will want it at different levels. Routing the metronome in Reaper is fairly simple, but not necessarily obvious what you need to do, so I made this video showing the process, and a bit more explanation showing how it would be utilized with a Behringer XR18. That process is nearly identical for the X32 or M32 as well. All these concepts would transfer over to whatever interface and monitoring system you have. Even with a 2 channel...
